Corona treatment is the process of applying a high voltage electric discharge to extruded plastic to improve the plastic’s reception to bonding with various surface applications such as printing inks or adhesives. It has primarily been used on our polyethylene and polypropylene materials.
Corona treatments can fade over time so the surface application process should take place as soon as possible to ensure bonding success, otherwise the plastic may need to be retreated before use.
